Kids Love Comics Spotlight: A Trio of Kids' Cartoonist Coming to Baltimore Comic-Con!

Maihack, Frederick-Frost, and Horn are among 30+ Creators in the Kids Love Comics Pavilion!

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND - August 27, 2016 - Bring your family to the Baltimore Comic-Con this September 2-4, 2016 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore's Inner Harbor.
Baltimore Comic-Con is not considered just a great comic book convention, it is hailed as one of the most family-friendly comic conventions in the world, hosting the Kids Love Comics Pavilion for over a decade, and featuring kids comics creators, workshops, and chapter book authors that kids love.

Comics at The Kids Love Comics Pavilion, sponsored by The School for Good and Evil series, run the gamut from sci-fi to fantasy, super heroes and beyond, all with a family-friendly flair. Among the talented creators attending BCC Setember 2-4 in Baltimore are:

Alexis Frederick-Frost - Adventures in Cartooning
Alexis is co-author and illustrator of the critically acclaimed Adventures in Cartooningseries of graphic novels and picture books. A combination how-to book and an exciting adventure story, Adventures in Cartooning was one of Booklist's Top Ten Graphic Novel of 2010 and has received many awards. His illustrations have appeared online and in a variety of publications including Nickelodeon Magazine, the Adventure Time comic, and others.

Alexis will be offering up the newly-published Ogres Awake - the third book in the Adventures in Cartooning Junior series of comic/picture book hybrids which includes Sleepless Knight and Gryphons Aren't So Great. These comics feature characters from the Adventure in Cartooning graphic novels but are for children who are just learning to read.

Mike Maihack -  Cleopatra in Space
Mike is a cartoonist, dad, and graphic novelist currently working on the his fourth book of his Cleopatra in Space series, published by Scholastic Books. It's about the actual Cleopatra (from history!) who is transported to the future to help save a faraway galaxy from evil (because saving a galaxy from non-evil wouldn't make much sense). But first, she has to learn how to do that by taking a bunch of space classes like alien languages, combat training, and algebra - mostly taught by a bunch of talking cats.

Jason Horn- NinjasaurPower Skull
Jason Horn is the creator of the web comic, Ninjasaur, chronicling the adventures of a wisecracking dinosaur ninja.
Currently, Jason is working on a new comic titled Power Skull, a story about a young prince who gains magical powers from a haunted skull. Jason's work has appeared in anthologies such as Aw Yeah Comics! and the award winning Tori Amos: Comic Book Tattoo.

Be sure to come to the  The Kids Love Comics Pavilion(sponsored by The School for Good and Evil series) at the Baltimore Comic-Con to meet these creators and more!
